Montblanc introduced a third size of writing instruments to its line in 1996, called the "Hommage à Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart." A Solitaire Collection version was added in 1997. The size, a "pocket-sized mini Meisterstück," is a perfect starting point for a top end line of exclusive pens aimed at the successful women, thus the introduction in September, 2012 of the Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry Collection, consisting of three progressively more exclusive models, from platinum plate, to an engraved white lacquer pen with 18 karat rose gold appointments, to an ultimate pen crafted from champagne-colored gold and adorned with diamonds.

Most precious of all, the Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry “Gold” fountain pen is entirely crafted from 18-carat champagne-coloured gold, intricately engraved with a matelassé pattern. In a dazzling demonstration of the jewellerʼs art, the corners of each square are set with a diamond, as are the three emblematic Montblanc rings encircling the cap, while the gold clip is adorned with its own brilliant diamond. As befits such an exceptional Writing Instrument, the Montblanc star emblem which tops the cap of every Meisterstück fountain pen, is rendered by a Montblanc Diamond, the unique, patented gem cut in the shape of the famous six- point star.

Pure as a Mozart aria, the Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry “Rosé” fountain pen comes in pearly white lacquer finely engraved with a pattern of Montblanc stars. Complementing the delicacy of this design, the nib, forepart and fittings are fashioned from 18-carat red gold, while the clip is embellished with a romantic drop-cut pink sapphire. Crowning the cap, the Montblanc six-point star emblem is crafted from mother-of-pearl.

Introduced alongside the Mozart Jewelry Collection, the new Meisterstück Mozart Montblanc Diamond fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint combine Montblancʼs signature black precious resin and platinum-plated fittings with a unique detail: an elegantly domed cap enclosing a dazzling Montblanc Diamond.

These are distinguished luxury pens for successful women. Each has the finishing touch of the Montblanc star emblem in shimmering mother-of-pearl.

The top of the line is the Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry “Gold” fountain pen, an ultimate statement pen crafted entirely from 18 karat champagne-colored gold. The pen's cap and barrel are engraved with a matelassé pattern, a stitching technique used in quilting, and each of the corners of the "square" is set with tiny accent diamonds. The two cap band rings and a ring set in the cap top are filled with a row of tiny diamonds. The gold clip has a diamond set in the tip and the cap top has a special Montblanc Diamond in the shape of the the six-point star logo. Projected launch price is € 60.000.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry “Rosé” fountain pen is designed to recall the Mozart era. The cap and barrel are finished in pearl white lacquer, which is engraved with a pattern of Montblanc stars. The nib, section, and all fittings are made from 18 karat rose gold. The clip has a drop-cut pink sapphire set in the tip. The cap top is inlaid with the Montblanc six-point star, crafted from mother-of-pearl. Projected launch price is € 10.000 Euro / $13,000 US.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry “Platinum-Plated” line includes three writing modes, fountain pen, rollerball pen and ballpoint pen. These pens are have a matelassé pattern engraved cap and barrel and are finished with platinum plate, including the appointments. The fountain pen has a rhodium-plated, 18 karat gold nib. Projected launch prices for the fountain pen is € 990 Euro, rollerball pen € 890, and ballpoint pen € 790 Euro.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Mozart Jewelry Collection is already available in Montblanc boutiques worldwide from September 2012.
