P’3115 Laser Flex: Solid stainless steel in a flexible form

Porsche Design is releasing several exciting new models in 2012, and one of the most intriguing is the new Laser Flex ballpoint pen. This new pen is expected to be released in November, 2012. Following is the official press release from Porsche Design:

Porsche Design presents the new writing tool P‘3115 LaserFlex, which combines extraordinary function with purist design. Truly unique is the use of modern laser technology that gives the stainless steel case an extraordinary flexible function:

If you push the mechanism to let the ball pen refill appear, the barrel responds to the pressure of the hand; the lasered slots contract and release after the refill appeared. Thus the stunning effect appears that the solid corpus gets flexible. The front part and clip are as well made out of massive stainless steel. The Porsche Design logo is lasered on the clip and the end part of the ballpoint pen. The P‘3115 LaserFlex ball pen is available for 395 Euro.
